A Practice Built Around
Thoughtful Professional Work
Quartzfield was founded on the view that managers and founders benefit most from a quiet, consistent professional relationship — not an off-the-shelf programme or a generic workshop.
Back to HomeWhere Quartzfield Began
Quartzfield grew out of a straightforward observation: most of the leaders we worked alongside at different points in our careers were technically capable and personally motivated, but rarely had a reliable, discreet space to think through the harder professional questions — the ones about how they lead, how they communicate under pressure, and how they make decisions when the path isn't clear.
We set up Quartzfield to fill exactly that gap. Based in Kuala Lumpur, we work with a small number of clients at any given time — managers stepping into broader responsibilities, founders building out their first leadership layer, and heads of department navigating a significant transition. The work is quiet, careful, and stays entirely in the professional domain.
The name comes from the mineral's quality: steady, structured, and resistant to pressure. That describes what we try to offer — not urgency or enthusiasm, but a solid and reliable point of reference for the work you're doing.
What We Hold to
Clarity over complexity
We don't add frameworks for their own sake. The session ends when there's a clearer sense of direction, not when a model has been applied.
Honest working relationship
We say what we observe, not what is easiest to hear. Clients come back because the feedback is direct and genuinely useful.
Confidentiality without exception
Nothing discussed in a session is shared externally. Where an engagement involves an organisation, the scope of reporting is agreed in writing before any work begins.
Work that stays in its lane
We are professional coaches. We don't provide legal advice, financial guidance, or personal therapy. If a situation calls for something different, we say so.
Who You'll Work With
Our team is small by design. You won't be passed between coaches — the same person who talks with you at the start works with you throughout.
Nadia Khoo
Principal Coach
Nadia works with senior managers and founders on decision-making, communication under pressure, and role transition. Background in organisational development across financial services and technology sectors in Malaysia.
Rizwan Haris
Leadership Development Specialist
Rizwan leads the group and team-level engagements, focusing on how leadership teams build shared practice and productive working relationships. He has a particular interest in delegation and accountability structures.
Siti Teh
Client Engagement Lead
Siti manages the intake process and coordinates all client engagements. She ensures each arrangement is clearly scoped, well documented, and running smoothly from the first conversation to the final session.
How We Work
Professional coaching has meaningful standards. Below is how Quartzfield approaches each one.
Client Confidentiality Protocol
No client details, session content, or organisational information is shared with any third party. Coaches sign an ongoing confidentiality agreement as part of their engagement with Quartzfield.
Scope Agreement in Writing
Every engagement begins with a written scope document confirming the objectives, number of sessions, reporting boundaries (for organisational engagements), and fee structure.
Continuous Professional Development
Our coaches maintain active involvement in professional coaching communities and regular peer supervision. We follow internationally recognised coaching ethics and practice standards.
Session Notes and Accountability
After each session, a brief written recap is shared with the client outlining the key observations and agreed actions. This is the client's record — not a coaching assessment.
Data Privacy Standards
Client data is held in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010. We store only what is necessary, and clients may request deletion of their data at any point after an engagement closes.
Referral When Appropriate
If a situation arises that falls outside the scope of professional coaching — whether legal, medical, or personal — we say so clearly and, where possible, point towards an appropriate resource.
Professional Coaching for Working Leaders in Malaysia
Quartzfield operates at the intersection of professional development and practical leadership work. Our clients are typically in mid to senior roles — heads of department, founders of growing businesses, or managers moving into their first executive position. What they share is a need to think clearly about their professional practice without the noise of a large group setting or a prescribed curriculum.
The Kuala Lumpur business environment places particular demands on leaders. Navigating cross-functional teams, managing through rapid growth, and communicating across different professional cultures are all common challenges our clients bring to sessions. The coaching space offers room to examine these situations at a practical, operational level — not through theory, but through the specifics of what's actually happening.
Individual sessions are the foundation of all Quartzfield work. Whether a client comes for a single Reflective Coaching Session or a longer Coaching Series, the relationship is one-to-one and the agenda is theirs. For organisations looking to develop a leadership group, the Leadership Development Engagement extends that same individual attention into a shared team context — building the kind of practical leadership culture that doesn't depend on one person.
Quartzfield is not a training company. We don't run certification programmes or cohort workshops. Our work is quiet, specific, and sustained — suited to professionals who already have capable instincts and need space to use them more deliberately.
